The challenge was to transfer the product and user data in the existing AS400 system to the Intranet. The proposed system would also need to be robust enough to efficiently handle the large amount of data transferred from the AS400 system.

RESOLUTION
Pieroth Japan K.K. wanted to develop a bilingual Intranet that would allow their sales team (SFE’s) to search for Damaged Outfit Product (DOP) wines and reserve/order them online for their customers. The proposed system would also comprise of an Admin section that would allow the Pieroth admin to effectively manage users, products and reservations/orders.
The Intranet developed as per branding guidelines by us allowed the admin to easily import users from the AS400 system. The admin could search for users in the Intranet, view their details and modify a few fields such as password and email. The Product Management section allowed the admin to search/add/modify products. The system also made it easy for the admin to add different product vintages and enabled them to search reservations/orders, extend the reservation period, and convert reservations to orders or cancel them.
